loopool (AKA Jean-Paul Garnier) is a sound artist active from 1998 to the present, based in Los Angeles.  loopool works in electronic and acoustic mediums, treating the sounds as clay and foundation for elaborate musical architecture.  Among the many goals of loopool are: the expansion of the musical pallet, the usage of music outside the realms of entertainment, and creation of music that is a psychedelic, not psychedelic music, but music that acts upon the brain to alter consciousnesses.  While recordings are the main medium utilized loopool also works with film, essay, electronics and software.  loopool has collaborated with many musicians, dancers, photographers and film makers including: Oneirothopter, the Legacy Project, Gitane DeMone, Danse Perdue, the One (family), SuzEQ, Benj Cameron, Alex Crockett, 100 Pieces, Robedoor, Stabbings and many others.  If you are interested in working with loopool, doing a split, or just general communication please contact loopool:
